Winneshiek County Auditor and Commissioner of Elections Ben Steines released Thursday morning the official list of candidates for City and School Board elections on November 7, 2023. Steines notes the change for Decorah Ward 2 from the original candidate list from last week. Due to a filing error, there is no official candidate running for that Ward. According to Steines, the Auditor's Office is now coordinating with the ballot printing company and programming the election equipment. As soon as ballots are ready, but no earlier than October 18, Absentee Voting will begin via mail and in-person in the Auditor's Office.
