Head Start registration events announced

Northeast Iowa -- Northeast Iowa Community Action Corporation (NEICAC) is excited to announce its Head Start Preschool Open Houses and Registration nights to apply for the 2024/2025 school year. Head Start is a free all-day, five-day-a-week, 3- and 4-year-old preschool program. Nutritious breakfasts, lunch, and snacks are served daily to families at no cost. Qualified teachers use the Creative Curriculum to help children learn and provide the academic and social skills needed to succeed in kindergarten. Free before and after-school care may be available for parents who are working or are in school full-time. All families with children 3-4 years old by September 15 are encouraged to apply for Head Start. Families can also apply by reaching out to their local Family Services Specialists.
