UPDATE: Local business helps entrepreneurs take a big leap

Story Update: Applications open Leap Day, Feb. 29 through April 30, 2024. DECORAH -- What will you do on Leap Day? An area business encourages entrepreneurs to share their story. BeMobile Verizon announced that on February 29 they begin accepting applications for their $5000 'Take the Leap' grant. When asked why they wanted to supply a grant for aspiring business owners and those ready to scale up their operations Jason Prinsen, Director of Sales and Marketing at BeMobile said, "We are passionate about helping small and medium-sized businesses grow. With our entrepreneurial roots, we understand the challenges and risks in launching or growing a small business. We are excited to make taking that leap a little bit easier for someone." BeMobile Verizon started with one family's dream to help people be more connected. Twenty-four years later they're still bringing the family connection to all 68 of their stores in Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, New Hampshire, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin. Their corporate headquarters is located in Grand Forks, North Dakota. The 'Take the Leap' grant opens on February 29 and accepts applications until April 30. Aspiring entrepreneurs looking to start a new small business or existing small business owners aiming to expand who are 18 years or older are welcome to apply.
