Winneshiek County rural residents must register to use the Winneshiek County rural waste collection sites. There is no charge to register, and personal information will only be used by Winneshiek County. Only rural residents are eligible to use this service. If you live within an incorporated city, your waste is picked up by a collection service. Registration and disposal will collect information to determine the efficiency of the program. Registration Options: Fill out a form: Obtain a registration form from the site monitor. You can return the completed form to the site monitor or drop it off at the auditor's office in the courthouse. Visit the website: https://arcg.is/0aO4jr. The online form will ask for some basic information that will help the County determine how many County citizens use the program. When you dispose of your waste, the site monitors will enter your license plate number. The system will then associate your license plate number with your registration information. This data will then give decision makers insight into how much the collection system is utilized – and by whom.
