The following arrests were reported by The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Office on Wednesday, January 22: On January 21 at 2:28 p.m. JASON FAIRCHILD, 50, of Luana, Iowa, was arrested and booked into the Winneshiek County Jail on an arrest warrant for 714.2(2) - Felony Theft 2nd — General Over $1,500 Under $10,000 and an arrest warrant for 908.11 - Violation of Probation On January 21, The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Office received a report of a single-vehicle rollover at the intersection of State Highway 139 and 315th Street in the northwestern part of Winneshiek County. The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, DANIEL KAUFFMAN JR., 30, of Cresco, Iowa, was uninjured. According to the criminal complaint, the responding officer noticed that Kauffman showed signs of alcohol intoxication. He later made admissions to drinking prior to the crash. After consenting to a preliminary breath test, Kauffman subsequently arrested and booked into the Winneshiek County Jail for aggravated misdemeanor operating a motor vehicle while under the influence. This is Kauffman's 2nd offense. On January 21, RYAN KUHN, 21, of Calmar, Iowa turned himself in to the Winneshiek County Sheriff's Office and was arrested and booked into the Winneshiek County Jail on an arrest warrant for 692A.104 - Sex Offender Registration Req.
