Emerging Artists Wanted: ArtHaus Opens Submissions for 2025 Exhibit

Stay informed, stay empowered: invest in the journalism that invests in you. DECORAH — ArtHaus in Decorah seeks artists ages 18-25 to submit artwork to the "2025 Emerging Artists Exhibition." The exhibition runs from April 4-26, 2025 and is open to residents and students of the Driftless region of northeast Iowa, southeast Minnesota and southwest Wisconsin living within a 200 mile radius of Decorah. The deadline for submission is Friday, March 7, 2025. Applicants interested in this juried show are asked to submit artworks completed within the last two years. Each applicant may submit up to three artworks, and all forms of media are welcome including, but not limited to, painting, drawing, ceramic, fiber arts, jewelry, printmaking and photography. Interested applicants must send digital images with an application form, brief artist statement, and entry fee of $25 by March 7 to ArtHaus, located on 107 West Broadway, Decorah, IA 52101. Instructions for submitted materials electronically are outlined at here. Artists will be notified by Friday, March 21 if their work has been selected. Works must be delivered by Monday, March 31, at 5:00 p.m. The Recipient of the Jurors' Choice Award, as chosen by three jurors, will receive a $200 cash prize and a solo exhibition in December of the 2025 ArtHaus exhibition cycle. The People's Choice winner will receive a cash prize at the end of the show. The public is invited to ArtHaus for a special reception for the artists of the selected works on Friday, April 4 from 6-8 p.m. Works will be on display through April 26, and can be viewed during ArtHaus' regular hours of Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. or by appointment.
