Farm Credit Services of America Returns $6.5 Million to Northeast Iowa Farmers

DECORAH — Farmers and ranchers in Allamakee, Chickasaw, Fayette, Howard and Winneshiek counties will be receiving $6.5 million in cash-back dividends returned by Farm Credit Services of America (FCSAmerica) as part of the financial cooperative's patronage program, paying 1% back as a cash-back dividend. Eligible customer-owners were issued cash-back dividend checks the last week of January. "At FCSAmerica, our commitment to agriculture runs deep," said Jim Knuth, senior vice president of lending in Iowa. "By returning cash-back dividends to our customer-owners, we effectively lower their cost of borrowing while also helping farmers and ranchers reinvest in their operations, families and communities. It's a tangible way we honor the hard work and resilience of those who drive rural America forward." 2025 Cash-Back Dividends Distribution This year's cash-back dividend is equal to 100 basis points — or a return of 1% of a customer's eligible average daily loan balance with FCSAmerica. The 2025 payout equates to the following county-level distributions:* $678,000 in Allamakee County. $2.6 million in Chickasaw County. $1.2 million in Fayette County. $1.2 million in Howard County. $725,000 in Winneshiek County. *Amounts are rounded. The Board of Directors for FCSAmerica has also approved a cash-back dividend to be paid from the cooperative's 2025 net earnings, the amount of which will be determined in December. Since 2004, FCSAmerica has offered a patronage program and shared its success in the form of cash-back dividends.
