DECORAH – Voters in Decorah have rejected Public Measure E, a proposal that would have allowed the city to explore the possibility of establishing a Municipal Electric Utility as an alternative to Alliant Energy. According to official results from the Tuesday, March 4 special election, the measure failed with 1,351 votes against (53.61%) and 1,169 votes in favor (46.39%), with all four precincts reporting.
