DECORAH -- Decorah Public Library is pleased to announce the return of The Amazing Martika on Wednesday, June 4, at 2 p.m. in Decorah Public Library's Mezzanine. The program requires free registration, which opens May 21. This is the first in the series of visiting performers and educators slated for DPL's 2025 Summer Reading Program: Read All About It. With over a decade of sideshow entertainment industry experience, Martika is one of the most in-demand sideshow performers in the Midwest. With incredible acrobatics and mind-bending stunts, this show is one the whole family can enjoy. Registration for this program will go live on Decorah Public Library's website on May 21. The Circus Variety show offers a range of tricks, stunts, and spectacles. From hula hooping with barbed wire to eating fire, her spectacular show will make the audience laugh and leave them asking... "HOW DID SHE DO THAT!? I want to see more!" This variety show was crafted with kids and families in mind, as Martika performs in schools and public libraries across the country. Decorah Public Library's Summer Reading Program offers a full roster of reading challenges, events, and educational opportunities, all for free, all summer long. This supports the library's goal of providing resources, leisure activities, and lifelong learning opportunities for all residents of Winneshiek County. The Summer Reading Program is supported by generous donations from Friends of the Decorah Public Library, Marion E. Jerome Foundation, and First United Methodist Church Fund.
