DECORAH — United Way of Winneshiek County has completed the Thriving United Way Self-Assessment, a structured, in-depth organizational review required every three years as part of membership with United Way Worldwide. The Thriving United Way framework is designed to help local United Ways evaluate internal operations, identify strengths, and recognize opportunities for continued growth and improvement. The assessment supports transparency, strategic planning, and long-term sustainability — ultimately strengthening how local United Ways serve their communities. Conducted in partnership with United Way Worldwide, the assessment reviewed several key areas, including governance, resource development, financial management, community engagement, and equity practices. The findings will help guide decision-making and shape future strategies that deepen United Way of Winneshiek County's impact across the region. As part of the next phase, United Way is seeking input from community members, partner organizations, and supporters to ensure a broad range of voices and perspectives are reflected in the assessment process.
