DECORAH — The 2025 4-H/FFA Dairy Show at the Winneshiek County Fair, held Wednesday, July 9, featured dozens of youth exhibitors showcasing high-quality dairy cattle across several breeds and age classes. Regan Gallagher and Kolton Gallagher led the way with multiple top honors. Regan earned Overall Supreme Champion and Best Udder in Show with her Holstein entry (#2038). Kolton took Overall Reserve Supreme Champion with his Jersey (#784), in addition to winning Jersey Senior Champion, Jersey Grand Champion, and Junior Showmanship honors. Mara Lovstuen was also a standout, earning Grand Champion titles in both the Ayrshire and Brown Swiss divisions. Her entries also captured Senior Champion awards in each breed. Brinlee Courtney (Brown Swiss), Hanna Vagts (Ayrshire), Anders Lovstuen (Guernsey), Kelsey Timp (Holstein), Regan Gallagher (Jersey), and Justice Nelson (Milking Shorthorn) were all named Junior Champions in their respective breeds. The Supreme Junior Champion award went to Kelsey Timp, while Hanna Vagts was named Reserve Supreme Junior Champion. In Dairy Showmanship, the top placements were: Collegiate: 1st – Anders Lovstuen Senior (Grades 9–12): 1st – Haylee Hanson 2nd – Hanna Vagts 3rd – Kelsey Timp Intermediate (Grades 7–8): 1st – Taylor Hammell 2nd – Riley Timp Junior (Grades 4–5): 1st – Kolton Gallagher 2nd – Emerson Wemark 3rd – Jared Schmitt The show featured a full slate of dairy breed classes, including Holstein, Jersey, Brown Swiss, Ayrshire, Guernsey and Milking Shorthorn.
