DES MOINES, Iowa — Iowa artists, arts organizations and communities have until Tuesday, Aug. 26, at 11:59 p.m. to apply for three statewide programs designed to strengthen skills, expand resources and address unique needs in the arts sector. The Iowa Department of Cultural Affairs is accepting applications for the following initiatives: Iowa Artist Career Accelerator: Provides peer learning, mentorship, business development resources and funding to help Iowa artists build momentum in their creative practices while enhancing professional skills. Iowa Culture Leadership Cohort: A two-year program for small- to midsize arts and culture nonprofits, focusing on leadership in operations, sustainability and programming through workshops, mentorship, peer learning and technical assistance from outside consultants. Creative Places Accelerator: Supports cross-sector community teams from small- to midsize Iowa communities in developing arts-based projects that foster livability, economic growth and community connectedness.
