Three Arrests Reported Over Holiday Weekend

On August 31, 2025, at 8:24 p.m., TYLER SHINDELAR, 35, of Cresco, Iowa, was arrested on Highway 9 near Decorah, Iowa. Following a traffic stop conducted by the Winneshiek County Sheriff's Office, Shindelar was booked into the Winneshiek County Jail for serious misdemeanor operating while under the influence. On August 30, 2025, at 11:42 p.m., BRENDA MUETERTHIES, 42, of New Hampton, Iowa, was arrested at Main Street and County Street in Ridgeway, Iowa. The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Office conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driving without headlights that failed to stop at a stop sign. Mueterthies was booked into the Winneshiek County Jail for serious misdemeanor operating while under the influence. On August 29, 2025, at 1:05 p.m., ANTHONY SABIN, 37, of Cresco, Iowa, turned himself in at the Winneshiek County Jail. Sabin was arrested and booked into the jail on an arrest warrant for failure to appear. Knowledge is power!
