KAR Auto Group Announces Management Changes

DECORAH — Leon Bachelder, the sole owner of KAR Auto Group in Decorah, Iowa, announced today that important management changes will take effect immediately at each of KAR's Decorah dealerships. Joel Courtney has been elected president of the Decorah Ford dealership. Courtney has been in the automobile business for 32 years. He said he is proud to continue serving the dealership's customers in Decorah and the surrounding areas. "I believe in doing everything possible to service the dealership's customers and to empower the dealership's employees," he said. Courtney was born and raised in Decorah. He lives in Waukon with his wife, Liz, and their three children. Shane Panos has been elected president of the Decorah GM (Chevrolet) and Decorah Chrysler (Stellantis) dealerships. Panos previously served as general manager of the dealerships. He has worked in the automobile industry for 25 years. Panos has lived in Decorah his entire life. He and his wife, Megan, have two children. Panos said he looks forward to continuing to care for the dealerships' customers and employees long into the future.
