New Minowa Players Announces Cast for Creative Venture: 'An Iliad'

DECORAH — The New Minowa Players are marking their 50th anniversary season with a milestone—their first-ever one-person show. This fall, they will present a story 3,000 years in the making, and have announced the poets who will bring it to life. "An Iliad" is a timely and gripping retelling of Homer's epic tale, illuminating the human cost of conflict. The Poet—the sole character in this one-person saga—recounts a tale of war, hubris and destruction that spirals across millennia and crashes into our present day. The production will feature two local actors telling the story on alternating performances Rick Nance from Cresco, and Indigo Fish from Decorah. Written by Lisa Peterson and Denis O'Hare, this production is directed by Alexander Rosenow. Tickets are on sale now at newminowaplayers.org/tickets.
