Discover the Driftless on Your 'Art Treasure Hunt' with NIAST's 28th Annual Studio Tour

WINNESHIEK COUNTY — The 28th Annual Northeast Iowa Artists' Studio Tour will take place Oct. 10–12, 2025, with 36 artists opening their studios to the public at 29 locations across the region. Studios will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Five new artists are joining this year's lineup, which includes sculptors, painters, basket weavers, metalsmiths, woodcarvers, fiber artists and woodworkers. The event offers a behind-the-scenes look at workspaces that are typically closed to the public. Decorah serves as the central hub for the tour, which extends up to 40 miles in all directions. Established in 1998, the Northeast Iowa Artists' Studio Tour is the state's first, largest and longest-running event of its kind. An interactive Google map, printable maps with GPS coordinates, and information on lodging and dining are available at www.iowaarttour.com. A full-color brochure with maps and details is also being distributed through area businesses, art shows and participating artists. Some studios will feature raffles for a chance to win artwork. The free event is supported by artist entry fees, sponsors, grants, donations and advertising businesses.
