Decorah Kids Bring Beloved "Winnie the Pooh" Characters to Life

DECORAH — New Minowa Players and director Rick Scheffert have announced a cast of 34 children ages 7-13 for the Children's Show, "Winnie the Pooh." The show will be performed October 23, 24 and 25 at 7 p.m. and October 26 at 2 p.m. at the New Minowa Players Theatre, 906 South Mill Street, Decorah. "Winnie the Pooh" is a musical about the beloved A.A. Milne characters from the books "Winnie the Pooh" and "The House at Pooh Corner." The script was written by Rick Scheffert. The music and lyrics were written by Sheryl Scheffert. The cast members are: Juniper Brink as Christopher Robin, Cassius Sadler as Daddy, Clara Garcia-Prats as Winnie the Pooh, Aubriana Molokken as Kanga, Valentina Muñoz-Campos as Roo, Lewis Brummel as Rabbit, Charlotte Yu as Piglet, Louis Weber as Tigger, Ellery Schwickerath as Eeyore, and Taylor Vick as Owl. Harper Scott, Yannalexi Jens, Elizabeth Michels, Cleo Musser-Dreaming, Tessa Searcy, Campbell Tripp, and Frances Zielinski are Bees. Solveig Bellrichard, Dell Brummel, Florence Brink, Holly Hurst, Mariella Molokken, Aurora Musser-Dreaming, Paige Musser-Dreaming, Ava Neilsen, Izzy Olson, Freyja Petersen, Tessalyn Round, Orvalene Ruen-Rolfe, Azalea Sadler, Nova Sadler, Theory Searcy, Sally Scott and Archer Weber play other animals in the hundred acre wood. The show is directed by Rick Scheffert, and Sheryl Scheffert is the musical director. Tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under.
