Hruska, soon to be Kayla Vsetecka, as the newest attorney to join the firm. Kayla previously worked the last two years as a law clerk and now transitions to associate attorney. A native of Cresco, Kayla is a 2019 graduate of Crestwood High School and a 2025 graduate of Drake University Law School. During her time at Drake, she served as President of the Student Bar Association, worked as a legal research teaching assistant, contributed as media editor for the Drake Law Review, and authored the forthcoming article "Ensuring Digital Integrity: Strengthening Authentication Requirements for Electronic Evidence in Iowa Criminal Cases." She also volunteered her time with community service clinics, including the Powers of Attorney Clinic and the Pro Se Divorce Clinic. She currently serves on the Drake Law School Board of Counselors. Kayla will soon be married to her fiancé, Josh Vsetecka, and together they look forward to making their home in northeast Iowa.
