Traffic Stops and Theft Investigation: Multiple Arrests Made in Winneshiek County

The following arrests were reported by The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Office and Decorah Police Department on Monday, October 27. On October 24, The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a vehicle in the ditch near 2910 Cattle Creek Road. Deputies arrived and observed a running vehicle in the ditch. Subsequently, DANIEL BOHR, 63, of Cresco, Iowa was arrested and booked into the Winneshiek County Jail for serious misdemeanor operating while under the influence. On October 25, The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Office conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle parked in the roadway on Highway 9 near Short Street in Decorah. Subsequently, the driver, HAYDEN HARKRADER, 20, of Waukon, Iowa was arrested for Serious Misdemeanor Possession of Controlled Substance (Marijuana) and transported to the Winneshiek County Jail. Once inside the Winneshiek County Jail, Harkrader was also charged with Class D Felony Possession of Contraband in Correctional Institution. Harkrader was booked into the Winneshiek County Jail. Harkrader was also cited for not being in posession of a valid driver's license. On October 26, Decorah Police charged TROY BOTHUN, 40 from Decorah, with theft in the 5th degree.
