In May 2021, Shawn Blake, CRNA, joined the team, bringing additional experience and allowing the clinic to expand to four days a week. That growth continued in September 2023, when RHSHC opened its dedicated pain management suite—a comfortable, state-of-the-art space designed specifically for these services. The new setting allows providers to perform procedures efficiently and safely, giving patients an excellent experience close to home. To continue meeting demand, Jessica Johnson, ARNP, will soon be joining the team to provide additional clinic support and help more patients get the care they need sooner. Providers conduct a full exam, review imaging such as MRIs or X-rays, and create an individualized plan based on the patient's symptoms and goals. Treatments may include: Trigger point and epidural steroid injections Facet, sacroiliac and piriformis injections Joint injections for knees, hips or shoulders Transforaminal epidural injections Radiofrequency ablations targeting lumbar or genicular nerves Using fluoroscopy or ultrasound guidance, these precise procedures deliver a combination of local anesthetic and steroid directly where it's needed, reducing inflammation and interrupting pain signals at the source.
