Osborne's Future Annual Festival Listening Sessions

ELKADER, Iowa — For 50 years, pioneer vendors and demonstrators have brought the early 1800s to life at Heritage Days, one of Northeast Iowa's most cherished festivals. As the event marks its milestone year, organizers say traditions are evolving. While the number of pioneer vendors has changed, interest in handmade and modern goods has grown, opening the door to new possibilities. With that in mind, 2025 will be the final Osborne Heritage Days in its current form. Organizers emphasize it's not an ending, but the beginning of something new. Public input will help shape the festival's next chapter. Listening and planning sessions will be held in the coming months to develop the vision, branding and experiences for the future celebration. Light refreshments will be provided. Sessions are scheduled for: Dec. 15, 6 p.m. Jan. 15, 6 p.m. Feb. 6, 10 a.m. All sessions will take place at the Clayton County Conservation Center.
