Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa Announces 2026 Board Officers and Welcomes New Members

DECORAH — The Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa (CFNEIA) has announced its 2026 board officers and welcomed new members to its board of directors. 2026 Board Officers Mike Hulme of Cedar Falls, managing partner and investment advisor representative at Financial Resource Advisors, has been elected to serve as Board Chair for 2026. Hulme succeeds Susan Sims of Cedar Falls, community volunteer, who will serve as Past Chair. Other elected officers include: Vice Chair: Matt Waller of Parkersburg, president, VGM Homelink Treasurer: Joy Briscoe of Waterloo, director, Corporation for a Skilled Workforce Secretary: Ashlyn Jungwirth of Waterloo, director of development, Cedar Ridge Christian School and Set Apart Ministries President & CEO: Kaye Englin of Cedar Falls, Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa New Board Members CFNEIA welcomes two new members to three-year terms on its board of directors: Justin Gullekson, a resident of Decorah, is a financial advisor with Edward Jones in Decorah. He previously served as a committee member of the Winneshiek County Community Foundation and currently serves on the board of trustees for WinnMed, the county-owned critical access hospital in Decorah. Nina Grant, a resident of Waterloo, serves as Vice President of Student Affairs at Hawkeye Community College. Through her role, she engages with community initiatives and organizations, including the Cedar Valley Faces of Excellence Advisory Board, Advancing Together in the Cedar Valley and the Cedar Valley Economic Inclusion Network. "We are excited to welcome Justin and Nina to the board," said Englin. "Each brings valuable expertise, strong community connections, and a deep commitment to strengthening the region we serve." Returning Board Members Other returning board members include: Nick Blasberg of Cedar Falls, financial advisor and co-founder, Generational Wealth Partners, Ameriprise Financial Services Lauren Finke of Cedar Falls, executive director, Volunteer Center of Cedar Valley Mary Janssen of Cedar Falls, regional director, Child Care Resources and Referral of Northeast Iowa, Exceptional Persons, Inc. (EPI) Matthew Monaghan of Waterloo, wealth management advisor, Northwestern Mutual Management Chawne Paige of Waterloo, executive director, Waterloo Center for the Arts Kalola Roby of Waterloo, owner, Empower Your Value, LLC Scott Soifer of Charles City, president and owner, Soifer Family McDonald's Outgoing Board Members Board members completing their second terms as of December 31, 2025, are ReShonda Young and Scott Thomson. "ReShonda and Scott have provided incredible leadership and guidance during their service," said Englin. "Their dedication to the Community Foundation and to the nonprofits and communities across our region has made a lasting impact." About CFNEIA The nonprofit's board members are selected for demonstrating a high level of commitment to the organization's 20-county region and personal involvement in community engagement. The board of directors oversees strategic planning and policy and is responsible for stewardship of more than $190 million in assets.
