Kasali to Speak at World Bank–IMF Spring Meetings, Among Youngest in History

WASHINGTON D.C, — Junior Luther College student Mansur Kasali will take the global stage Wednesday as a speaker at the World Bank–IMF Spring Meetings, contributing to a discussion on economic policy and global prosperity. Kasali, a political science, international studies and economics major, will serve as a panelist at the Civil Society Policy Forum on April 15. He will represent EmpowerHer Capital in a session titled "Examining How AI and Digital Agriculture Create Jobs in Developing Countries." He is also scheduled to contribute to a technical discussion during the Spring Meetings' broader policy agenda focused on building prosperity through sound economic policy. That panel will run from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Eastern Time and will be livestreamed on World Bank Live, with rebroadcasts expected internationally. The Spring Meetings convene global leaders, finance ministers, central bank governors and development practitioners to address major international economic issues. According to information provided by Kasali, his participation may mark a historic milestone. He has been told he will likely be the youngest individual to address the Meetings in a technical capacity since the founding of the World Bank and International Monetary Fund at the Bretton Woods Conference.
