Snow Pleads Guilty to Felony Charges in Oxycodone-Laced Lasagna Case

DECORAH — A Winneshiek County woman has pleaded guilty to multiple felony charges connected to allegations that oxycodone was administered to several people without their consent through a drug-laced lasagna intended to cause a miscarriage, according to court documents filed Tuesday in Iowa District Court for Winneshiek County. Amber D. Snow, 36, entered written guilty pleas May 26 to seven charges stemming from a Dec. 2025 incident in Winneshiek County. According to the plea filing, Snow pleaded guilty to: One count of conspiracy to deliver or possess with intent to deliver oxycodone, a Class C felony. Four counts of conspiracy to commit administering a harmful substance, Class D felonies. One count of attempted termination of a human pregnancy without the knowledge and voluntary consent of the pregnant person. One count of child endangerment, an aggravated misdemeanor. The court filing alleges Snow conspired with Matthew Uthoff to administer oxycodone to multiple individuals without their consent. In the plea, Snow admitted she "unlawfully and willingly conspired" to deliver the oxycodone. Investigators previously alleged Snow and Uthoff delivered a pan of lasagna laced with oxycodone to a family with the intent of causing a pregnant woman in the household to miscarry. Testing by the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation crime lab confirmed oxycodone was present in the lasagna, according to investigators. She was sentenced to 10 years in prison. Uthoff, who faces the same charges, pleaded not guilty back in April. His jury trial is scheduled to begin June 10. Your inbox, upgraded!
