Decorah Breweries to Pour at Iowa Craft Brew Festival June 6

The Iowa Brewers Guild is preparing for the return of the Iowa Craft Brew Festival on Saturday, June 6, from noon to 4 p.m. at Water Works Park in Des Moines. The festival will bring together breweries, cideries, wineries, distilleries and craft beverage enthusiasts from across the state for an afternoon focused on connection, conversation and community. Celebrating its 16th anniversary, this year's festival theme encourages Iowans to reconnect through face-to-face conversations, shared experiences and time spent together. The Iowa Craft Brew Festival offers more than craft beverages. Organizers describe the event as a laid-back outdoor experience where attendees can catch up with friends, meet new people and enjoy time away from screens and social media. Each ticket includes unlimited samples, a commemorative tasting glass and access to the festival grounds, which will feature shade tents, vendors, yard games and Iowa-based food trucks. In addition to craft beer, attendees can sample Iowa-made ciders, wines, spirits, kombucha and nonalcoholic beverages. "As we get closer to the festival, there's a lot of excitement building," said Noreen Otto, executive director of the Iowa Brewers Guild. "This event has always been about bringing people together and celebrating Iowa's craft beverage community in a fun, welcoming environment." Festival revenue supports Iowa's craft beverage industry and the Iowa Brewers Guild's Brewed in Iowa campaign, which highlights the economic and community impact of local breweries and craft beverage producers. Tickets are available online. VIP tickets, which include early admission from noon to 1 p.m., cost $65. General admission tickets are $50, and designated driver tickets are $20. Prices will increase the day of the event. Attendees must be 21 or older. The Iowa Brewers Guild is a nonprofit trade association representing professional brewers of beer and cider in Iowa.
