Steak Sandwiches, Shakes on the Menu for Chamber Ag Lunch

DECORAH — The Decorah Area Chamber of Commerce will host its annual drive-thru Ag Lunch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 9, at the Winneshiek County Fairgrounds. Proceeds from the event support the chamber's Winneshiek County Agriculture Scholarships for high school graduates pursuing agriculture-related college majors and the annual Herdsmanship Awards, which recognize animal care and cleanliness outside the show ring at the Winneshiek County Fair. Attendees may choose a steak sandwich or cheeseburger prepared by the Winneshiek County Cattlemen and select from chocolate, vanilla or strawberry shakes provided by the Winneshiek County Dairy Promoters Moo Mobile. Menu prices are: Steak sandwich: $10 Cheeseburger: $8 Shake: $4 Drivers should enter the fairgrounds from the east end of Water Street. Payment will be accepted by cash or check only. Members of the Winneshiek County Beef Royalty and Winneshiek County Dairy Royalty will assist the chamber's Agriculture Committee with serving orders. A delivery option is available this year for area businesses.
