Decorah Public Library announces February book groups

Decorah Public Library staff will be hosting five book discussions in February. The Happy Hour Book Group will meet via Zoom at 5:15 p.m. Wednesday, February 9th, to discuss Kawai Strong Washburn's "Sharks in the Time of Saviors." The Cookbook Book Group will meet at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, February 10th, to discuss Toni Tipton-Martin's James Beard Award-winning cookbook "Jubilee: Recipes from Two Centuries of African American Cooking." The History Book Group will meet via Zoom at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, February 17th, to discuss Charles Spencer's "Killers of the King: The Men Who Dared to Execute Charles I." The Friday Book Group will meet via Zoom at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 18th, to discuss Lyz Lenz's "God Land." The Speculative Fiction Book Group will meet via Zoom at 5:15 p.m. Wednesday, February 23rd to discuss Tade Thompson's "Far From the Light of Heaven."
