Funeral notice for 63-year-old Deborah Leah Bierman of Decorah

63-year-old Deborah Leah Bierman of Decorah died Sunday, March 5th, at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics in Madison, Wisconsin, due to complications of Covid-19, compounded by her underlying chronic medical conditions. A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, March 14th, beginning with a vigil service at 4:00 p.m. and visitation from 4:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, 1844 1st Avenue NE, Cedar Rapids. The Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 15th, at St. Jude's Catholic Church, 50 Edgewood Road NW, Cedar Rapids, followed by burial at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. Memorials may be directed in Deborah's name to the UW Health Transplant Center at https://www.wiscmedicine.org/ways-to-give. Those unable to attend are invited to watch the service via livestream. Deb is survived by her loving husband, Dr. Scott Bierman of Decorah, Iowa; children: Holli (Amy) Petrich of Rochester, Minnesota, Kami Frasher of Marion, Iowa, Brittani Meyer (Joe Schumacher) of Cedar Falls, Iowa, Jordan (Samantha) Bierman of Center Point, Iowa, Justin Bierman of Decorah, Iowa, and Dylan Bierman of Luana, Iowa; grandchildren: Taylor, Carter, Jace, and Colt Bierman, Blake and Anna Bartelt, Brinleigh and Matilyn Meyer, Londyn Frasher, River Petrich, and Vivian and Evelyn Schumacher; three brothers: Mike (Deb) Nunemaker, Dave Nunemaker, and Jerry (Tina) Nunemaker; sister, Sheila (Roger) Townsend; as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, dear friends, her Chihuahua Bella, and many grand-pets.
